dear lillian,

you are so lively, dramatic, and free. you dance and sing around the house and you are just lovely. you are quite the artist as well. last night, you and i were sitting on the couch after the flyers concert and i asked you if you want to be a singer. you shook your head. i asked if you if you'd like to be an actress or an artist instead. you said "no." i listed off all kinds of jobs and you had no interest in becoming a doctor, teacher, or cop. i finally asked you to tell me what you want to be when you grow up. you looked at me and without hesitation, replied "a horsey."
